OLYMPIC SHOT-PUT CHAMPION
At the paralympics in Rio de Janeiro in the summer of 2016, Sebastian Dietz won gold in the shot-put event. With a distance of 14.84 m, he set a new paralympic record and dominated the competition by far. No fewer than five of his shots were further than the best shot of the silver medallist. <strong/>
For Sebastian, who suffered a severe cervical spine injury in a road traffic accident in 2004, this is his fourth international title. In 2015, he triumphed at the World Championships with his first gold medal in shot-put. In his previous discipline, discus-throwing, he had already taken gold in 2012 and 2013.
We are proud of and delighted by Sebastian’s Olympic victory! Since the start of the year, we have been supporting him and accompanying him on his sporting career.
