SPORLASTIC SUPPORTS THE TRAINING OF ALBANIAN APPRENTICE ORTHOPAEDIC TECHNICIANS
Medizinische Nothilfe Albanien e.V. (MNA) is committed to encourage the training of orthopaedic technicians, physiotherapists, social workers and special needs teachers in Albania. The aim is to improve the quality of rehabilitation services and the quality of life of people affected. “This is the only way to permanently break the cycle of poverty and disability”, says MNA Chairman Matthias Roller. For two decades, the MNA aid organisation has been working to ensure that people with disabilities enjoy the same opportunities and rights in Albanian society as anyone else. In 2015, a new rehabilitation centre was opened in the city of Pogradec. “We are absolutely delighted by Sporlastic’s generous donation, and it marks the start of a longer-term commitment to supporting and encouraging apprentice training locally”, says Matthias Roller.
