IN THE TOP 10 FOR YEARS: ANNE SAUER
The German fencer in the women's floret Anne Sauer has been in the top 10 of every tournament for years and it would be hard to imagine the national team without her. At the World Cup 2018 in Katowice (Poland), the 24-year-old won the bronze medal in the women's floret. With a lot of ambition and discipline she secured the 3rd place and at the same time the first podium place at an individual World Cup in her career.
But she is not only one of the best athletes in individual competitions. Anne Sauer's fencing team made it to the quarter finals at the 2016 World Championships in Rio de Janeiro.
The fencing specialist has been training at the Future Fencing fencing club in Werbach since 2018. In addition to intensive training sessions on the Planche, the development of a concept for the promotion of young talent is on the agenda. This should preserve fencing for future generations and promote young fencers from the region.
We wish you every success and are curious to see what the season has in store for you!
