DOUBLE GOLD MEDAL FOR OUR ATHLETES
Sebastian Dietz and Frank Stäbler successful at competitions
Sebastian Dietz won the gold medal at the World Para Athletics Championships in London - again! He shot put in F36 to 15.28 meters and could defend his title. He could not set the world record though, because the current distance to defead would be 15.36 meters. "I wanted a world record and was a bit shocked when I was a close second at one point in the competition. But I won gold," says the 32-year-old. Sebastian is now undefeated since 3 years!
Undefeated is also Frank Stäbler, our wrestling world champion of 2015. He succeeded in the final rehearsals of the world championships in Warsaw, Poland. He won the gold medal for Graeco-Roman wrestling in the leage up to 71 kilograms. After a heavy injury he is now back in the ring. In the competition's final, he beat the current World and European champion Balint Korpasi from Hungary with the result of 3:1. "I'm very happy. Now I'm very confident for the World Championships", says Frank.
